We'll be joining forces with Geek Week PDX, Board Bard Games, Corvid Creations, and Portland Saturday Market for a celebration of 50 years of D&D that's not to be missed!

Time & Location

Sep 06, 2024, 12:00 PM – Sep 15, 2024, 10:00 PM

TPK Brewing Co., 5051 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97215, USA

About the event

TPK Brewing Co. will be celebrating Geek Week PDX and Dungeons & Dragons' 50th Anniversary by running multiple sessions of every remastered first edition D&D adventure from the recent Quests from the Infinite Staircase anthology release, along with an original level 20 capstone adventure written by GM Isaac. Sessions will run daily throughout the 9/6-9/15 event, with real-life loot awarded the night of 9/26 based on the number of sessions survived. We've always believed that if you have to climb an infinite staircase then you'd better do it in style, so we've enlisted our friends at Board Bard Games to bring over a special miniatures display (including custom 3D printed options that players can arrange ahead of time) to a big open painting night at 6 PM on 9/9. TPK will be supplying all of the paints and our professional miniature painting neighbors Corvid Creations will be there to make sure everyone is looking good.

Individual sessions for the event can be booked here, with prizes for surviving multiple sessions as follows:

  • 1 Session: A physical Passport to the Infinite Staircase
  • 2 Sessions: A 50th Anniversary Sticker
  • 3 Sessions: An Infinite Staircase themed dice set
  • 4 Sessions: A hardcopy of Quests from the Infinite Staircase
  • 5 Sessions: A TPK challenge coin (works as one luck point for any non-Leyfarer game played with TPK GMs, regardless of system)
  • 6 Sessions: Your Infinite Staircase character printed and painted by Corvid Creations
  • 7 Sessions: Player and character name permanently displayed at TPK

Ahead of the Passport to the Infinite Staircase, we'll also be partnering with Portland Saturday Market to celebrate their 50th Anniversary with a fantasy scavenger hunt starting at noon on 9/1. TPK will be giving every participant a free drink at any Infinite Staircase games they play, along with a coupon for a free custom miniature from Board Bard Games.

The sessions, open painting, and awards ceremony will take place at TPK Brewing Co., 5051 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland OR 97215.

The scavenger hunt will take place at Portland Saturday Market, 2 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97204.

How do I make a custom character for the Passport to the Infinite Staircase?

You can build your character for the Passport to the Infinite Staircase using the point-buy method to generate ability scores and character options from any official D&D materials. Each adventure is designed for a specific character level, so you will need to level or de-level your character to match.

Your PC can keep any treasure gained from these adventures to use in any other adventure that's part of the Passport to the Infinite Staircase. In addition, you gain additional starting equipment based on your level according to the following table, and you can spend starting gp on any equipment at list price. (Additional starting equipment does not carry over to other adventures.)

  • Level 2 (The Lost City): 210gp
  • Level 5 (When a Star Falls): 455gp, 1 uncommon magic item
  • Level 6 (Beyond the Crystal Cave): 550gp, 2 uncommon magic items
  • Level 8 (Pharaoh): 785gp, 3 uncommon magic items
  • Level 10 (Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth): 1,200gp, 2 uncommon magic items, 1 rare magic item
  • Level 12 (Expedition to the Barriers Peaks): 4,000gp, 3 uncommon magic items, 1 rare magic item
  • Level 20 (Son of a Lich): 25,000gp*

*Additional magic items for the 20th level adventure will be provided as part of the scenario.

Can I use my character from The Leyfarer's Chronicle?

Yes! You will still need to adjust them to the correct level for each adventure, and you will use their current equipment without any additional starting equipment. The only exception is the 20th level adventure, where they will only have items gained from the Infinite Staircase. Items and XP from the Passport to the Infinite Staircase do not carry over to the Leyfarer's Chronicle.
