Blooms of Spring: Sunlight and Ash
A Level 6 ReQuest in the World of Val'Ruvina.
Service Description
Though the city of Vesic has been conquered by the Ashbringer and sits under a perpetual daylight, the annual construct competition and race is going on as scheduled. The royal palace has been gutted for future practical use, and the university classes have ceased. Temples have closed and tension is high in the city as people attempt to hold on to their daily routines, while deeply feeling the acute loss of their cultural practices. The festival continuing is vital to the cityfolk, with Vesic citizens cooking traditional meals and taking part in the celebrations despite the occupation. The Ashbringer’s military elite are in the city to scout possible contractors to promote in the regime, led by the formidable General Treigh. Their presence casts a disquieting shadow over the usually joyful proceedings. It has recently come to light that the constructs being prepared for the upcoming race are being tampered with, and the culprit appears to be targeting the most destructive entries. The adventurers have been brought in to investigate quietly by the race coordinators, and to take care of the saboteurs before the race begins. CR 6 Adventure for The Leyfarer's Chronicle.
